What BentoBox Is Building in 2024
February 1, 2024
CEO Krystle Mobayeni on the new BentoBox Marketing & Commerce Platform.
When I designed the first BentoBox website in 2013, the industry looked a lot like it does today. Technology was changing the dining experience. Hospitality professionals were eager to adapt.
BentoBox was our way of helping restaurants realize their missions of hospitality in a digital world. Yes, we were providing a tech solution. But unlike others in the space, our goal was to put the power back in the hands of restaurant owners by giving them control of their online presence.
That has been our North Star ever since. As hospitality has evolved over the last decade, BentoBox has led the way in keeping restaurants at the forefront of technology.
Today I’m thrilled to share with you the latest chapter in that journey, with the launch of the BentoBox Marketing & Commerce Platform: a simple yet powerful engine to help restaurants drive better guest experiences and smarter operations.
BentoCore’s Menu Management and Diner Database.
Over the last few years, our team has heard one consistent piece of feedback from restaurant operators: they’re dealing with way too many digital tools. Restaurants are tired of fragmented software that isn’t designed for businesses with limited resources. Focusing on this technology uses valuable time that restaurants would rather spend serving guests.
The BentoBox Marketing & Commerce Platform is our answer. This is BentoBox optimized to meet modern operator needs: to drive revenue with restaurant data and to be intuitive for busy teams.
The center of the platform is the new BentoCore, a data hub that houses everything from diner details to menu information to brand styles. BentoCore, in turn, powers diner-facing modules that restaurants can turn on as needed. The more modules a restaurant uses, the more powerful BentoCore becomes.
Together, the platform simplifies the whole restaurant tech stack. It just works.
Data is the beating heart of the whole system. At BentoBox, one of our cultural cornerstones is “data-informed, spirit-driven.” We understand restaurants are in the business of serving people. But to anticipate diner needs and elevate every guest experience, restaurants need data to inform their operations.

The Marketing & Commerce Platform is just the beginning of what BentoBox has planned for 2024. We’re also thinking about how to link the digital and on-premise experience, helping restaurants deliver more connected hospitality both inside and outside the dining room. We will continue to champion organizations like the James Beard Foundation that support the growth and development of the industry. I’m excited to meet regularly with our Hospitality Council, which keeps us focused on solving tomorrow’s operator challenges. And, of course, we will continue to passionately support the thousands of restaurants who put their trust in BentoBox every day.
The last few years have been some of the hardest our industry has ever had to endure. While there is still a lot of work to do, I’m entering 2024 more excited than ever to help restaurants get back to what they do best — delivering exceptional hospitality — by doing what we do best: supporting restaurants with simple, powerful technology.
