The Best Restaurant Websites in Denver
March 24, 2022
Denver restaurants are using BentoBox to grow their brands and increase their revenue. Here are some of our favorite examples.
Across the country, restaurant operators are preparing to face the "new normal" — and Denver, CO, restaurants are no different.
To do this, many restaurants are creating best-in-class websites that meet the challenges — and seize the opportunities — of the current moment. They're investing in custom design to leave a strong, brand-first impression on future diners. They're setting up online commerce stores to diversify revenue and fight back against third-party commissions. And they're integrating websites with other technology to streamline workflows and operate with fewer, higher-paid staff members.
Want to see how that looks in action? We curated some of the best Denver websites built on BentoBox, the premier online marketing and commerce platform for restaurants. Check them out below.
Frasca Food and Wine
Frasca Food and Wine is the flagship concept of Frasca Hospitality Group, which operates several fantastic Denver restaurants. Though it's technically located in Boulder, the three-time James Beard-award winning restaurant attracts diners from across the Denver area, serving authentic recipes from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. Its website is refined and graceful, using a mix of exterior, staff and menu photography to communicate its well-rounded hospitality approach. It also has a merchandise store where guests can purchase a signed copy of the book Frasca's founders wrote about Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Death & Company
The first Death & Company opened on New Year's Eve 2006 in New York City. It quickly became one of the nation's most revered cocktail bars, and in 2018 it opened a second location in Denver (it has since added a third in Los Angeles, with a fourth soon to come in Washington, DC). Its website uses dark images and poetic copywriting to capture the mystique of its brand, positioning itself as a call to adventure for night owls. But the website is also pragmatic with how it treats the separate locations, providing pages for each that include location overviews, menus and more.
Kachina Cantina
Sage Restaurant Concepts operates several great Denver restaurants, including Toro, The Corner Office and Urban Farmer. Any of their websites could have easily made this list — and all are built on BentoBox — but Kachina Cantina stands out with how it uses online ordering to supplement its on-premises business. Like the rest of Sage's restaurants, Kachina Cantina pivoted to BentoBox during COVID-19, and commerce features like direct online ordering helped keep the business profitable.
"We could not have gone through COVID-19 without BentoBox," said Heather Dratler, Sage's Vice President of Marketing. "It’s given us the ability to take our digital guest experience to the next level."

Sunday Vinyl Wine Bar
Another entry from Frasca Hospitality Group, Sunday Vinyl is an intimate restaurant and wine bar at Union Station. It's known for its expertly curated music selection, which plays on bespoke McIntosh turntables and hand-built speakers — a trendy vibe its website captures with custom photos of plated food atop vinyl records. The website also educates guests on events like its weekly Supper Club or other musical experiences. If you're a member of Sunday Vinyl's target audience, its website leaves no doubt in your mind about that.
Chez Maggy
Opened in the Thompson Denver Hotel in February 2022, Chez Maggy is a deeply personal concept from Michelin-starred chef Ludo Lefebvre. The restaurant is named after Lefebvre's late mother-in-law Margaret, who spent her life helping people in Colorado and inspired Lefebvre to foray beyond Los Angeles with a restaurant in Denver. The menu is also a celebration of Burgandy, France, where Lefebvre grew up. Its website captures the spirit and technical proficiency of a premium French brasserie, while also communicating the personal story of the brand.
The Red Barber
The Red Barber sells itself as "an escape from the everyday," something many guests value in a trendy rooftop bar. Its website plays a crucial role in validating that idea — and it succeeds from the very first glance. The design stands out immediately with its heavy use of red, large section buttons and clever use of animations such as the "Day to Night" scroll on the "Happenings" button. Even the CTA button in the top right corner, which captures email subscribers, is on-brand with copy that reads, "Never Miss a Beat." In short, the website offers a stylish, unique experience, which primes guests to expect the same thing on-premises.
Delectable Egg
Delectable Egg is a breakfast, brunch and lunch joint with five locations across the Denver metro area, including a pair in downtown Denver. Its website leads with high-resolution photography of breakfast classics: powdered waffles, crispy bacon, multicolored juices, etc. This is important for guests who research the restaurant in advance, while planning a breakfast, and need to be reassured about the menu quality. However, Delectable Egg also does a great job converting immediate diners through BentoBox online ordering, which generates tens of thousands of dollars of low-commission revenue per month.
